ICIURP 2027

The 1st International Conference, organized by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, CUET, aims to establish a global platform for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and experiences in urban and regional development. It will bring together academics, researchers, professionals, policymakers, and students to discuss emerging challenges and innovative solutions in planning practice. In the context of rapid urbanization, climate change, and increasing socio-economic complexities, particularly in developing regions such as Bangladesh, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient planning has become more critical than ever.

The conference seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration across diverse areas of planning and development. It will feature keynote speeches, technical sessions, panel discussions, and workshops addressing contemporary issues including climate resilience, smart cities, land-use dynamics, transportation, environmental sustainability, and governance. The conference will also provide young researchers and students with opportunities to present their work, receive feedback, and engage with international scholars.
